Mark Horne, trading as Freehold Software runs this website. This page covers what the website collects. Each app has its own policy, listed at the bottom — and because every app runs on your own device, computer or server, the short version for most of them is that we never receive your data.
What this website collects
- Waitlist emails. If you email us to join a waitlist, we keep your address and which app you asked about, and use it only to tell you when that app is ready. We delete it after that email, or sooner if you ask.
- Emails you send us. Kept for as long as we need to answer and follow up, then deleted. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in replying to you.
- Purchases. Paid through Stripe, which acts as the seller of record through its Managed Payments service and adds the right VAT or sales tax for your country at checkout. We receive your name, email address, country and what you bought — never card details — and use your email to deliver the download and licence. The legal basis is the contract you enter into, and we keep sales records for as long as UK tax law requires.
- Hosting. Our web host processes your IP address to deliver pages and keep the site secure, as every web host does.
What it does not do
No advertising cookies without your permission, no selling or renting of your details, and no third-party fonts or trackers loaded behind your back.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, and object to how we use it. Email hello@freehold-software.com. If you are unhappy with our answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
